What is the meaning of prime?

Prime numbers are numbers that only have 2 factors, the number one and the number itself. Examples of Prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 101, 83 and a lot more.

Note: 1 is not a prime number.

On the other hand, numbers with 3 or more factors are called Composite numbers.
